Description
The Antiracism Consultation Group is an ongoing and open monthly group for clinicians who desire support and training for race, racism, and social justice issues that arise in their clinical practice. This virtual consultation group offers structured experiential activities for clinician self-exploration, case presentations, and consultation. Topics for self-exploration include clinician racial and cultural story mapping, identifying markers of privilege and marginalization, and professional alignment with “not racist” vs. antiracist clinical practices. Time will also be spent engaging in mindfulness practices designed to increase your capacity for engaging in emotionally charged discussions.
This group is a gracious space for uncomfortable learning and professional development. Individuals are not required to present a case to participate. Respectful interactions are strictly monitored as each participant’s emotional safety is paramount. All races and ethnicities are encouraged and welcome.
