Antiracism Consultation Group – October 11, 2022
This is an ongoing and open monthly group for clinicians who desire support and training in working with issues related to race, racism and social justice. This virtual consultation group offers structured experiential activities for clinician self-exploration, case presentations and consultation. Topics for self-exploration include clinician racial and cultural story mapping, identifying markers privilege and marginalization and professional alignment with “not racist” vs antiracist clinical practices. Time will also be spent engaging in mindfulness practices designed to increase your capacity for engaging in emotionally charged discussions.
This group is a gracious space for uncomfortable learning and professional development. Individuals are not required to present a case in order to participate. Respectful interactions are strictly monitored as each participant’s emotional safety is paramount. All races and ethnicities are encouraged and welcome.
